I’m a first-year and don’t know anything about StuCo. Where should I start?
Welcome to Northwestern! We’re so excited to hear that you are interested in joining the vibrant theatre community on campus. To learn all about the different StuCo boards, make sure to go to Student Theatre Info Night (STIN) at the start of the school year and sign up for the This Week In Student Theatre (TWIST) mailing list.
I’m interested in directing for JTE. When can I petition?
We’re thrilled to hear that you are interested in directing for JTE! Petitions for our Fall Shanley, Winter Louis, Spring Shanley, and Song Cycle special event happen in the beginning of Spring Quarter, typically around Week 3 after our producers have been chosen.
I’m interested in joining JTE as a new member. When can I petition?
We couldn’t be more excited to hear that you are interested in joining JTE! Petitions for our “Bagel Bites” happen around Fall Week 7. “Bagel Bites” spend the rest of the Fall Quarter and Winter Quarter shadowing each position on our board and are fully active members. We hold another round of board petitions for next year’s season at the end of Winter Quarter.
I’m interested in joining the production (prod) team for one of your shows. How do I get involved?
Unlike the more formal petitions that are held to select our producers and directors, we do not hold formal petitions for other prod team positions. Please reach out to the director and/or producer to see if they need anyone to fill the position(s) you are interested in!
I’m interested in producing for JTE. When can I petition?
We’re so happy to hear that you are interested in producing for JTE! Petitions for our Fall Shanley and Winter Louis slots happen towards the beginning of Spring Quarter, typically around Week 2.
I want to see one of your shows! How do I get tickets?
You do not need to worry about getting tickets for any of our shows in advance. Attendance is free and most productions are first come, first serve at the door!
